- Fighting-Kissing-Dancing. Curated Video space at the De la Cruz collection. Fighting, Kissing, and Dancing. These three actions are troupes that traditional narrative movies use to bring around there own narrative arc. These actions are effective at bringing a films narrative to its peak because of the emotional weight each of these physical actions represent. This screening of artist moving image works will illustrate the way many artist purposely or accidentally use these troupes to create form. From the main gallery of the second floor, a doorway leads to a dark space with bright neon rectangles and moving images on the far wall. Upon entering the room, visitors see videos playing and hear sounds and voices as they find places to sit or a grip bar on which to lean and watch the screen. The moving image is experienced in theaters, private homes and on the Internet (formats symbolized by the neon). The design of the exhibition is meant to combine all these environments . This installation highlights the work of a group of artists who enact individual narratives and use varied video mise-en-scene strategies. The artists who created the works are based in Miami and New York.

half way done? with what? school? please...you are, by no means, half-way done with anything...! don't let school make you feel that way...anyway, the installation shot looks like a set, maybe even a miniature set...weird, nice...lots of green, cool...not very tropical feeling though...
keep on keeping on.
i really enjoy the foam on the pedestal with the black sticks and faces coming out.
